I saw it (sort of...was with the kids) and I thought to myself, that sound like the name of the reporter I see posts from in Bubblelife. Had no idea it was the same person.
kind of shocking.

I find this might be "par for the course" for Merritt Patterson. I find her to be Questionable in general.

Merritt Patterson/SPCT were sued and found liable by IVPCare (a fertility drug provider) for $31k plus interest/attorney fees several years ago. She was sued and found liable by Abigal Neiman, M.D. For $18k plus fees. Both records are open to the public via Dallas Property Records. She owes tens of thousands to donors and recipients over a 15-year-period, not just the ones featured on the show segment. SPCT is in poor standing with the Texas Comptroller and has a history of tax liens. SPCT has an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau. Since the show aired, additional individuals have come forward with claims of fraud. Please do your research on egg brokers and agencies, particularly in Texas, where businesses are deregulated.

Listen, I have to say as a fertility professional, there's a lot going on in the industry. SPCT was a competitor so I'm glad I won't deal with that aspect anymore but I think Brett Shipp (since I know the donor he interviewed with sparkly eye shadow) did horrid job reporting.
