Was the Pk Cities People decision to keep Merritt right?

I read the article about Ms. Patterson in the Park Cities People and I was floored. Foremost, Merritt Patterson didn't apologize. Not in the least. There wasn't a hint of apology to the potential mothers or the egg donors whose money she took. Perhaps not surprisingly, her editor and the staff person who wrote the article failed to consider that as well. I vote goodbye to Merritt - at least for a long time. This is a repugnant episode made worse by her and the Park Cities People's reaction to it.

No, the Park Cities People has not to date and will not ever do the “right thing” in the case of Merritt Patterson. The PCP has been continuously and constantly biased toward Merritt. And Merritt’s responses have been snarky, insensitive and sarcastic, at best. For one, I am shocked that people admire her writing skills, blogs, or so called celebrity status….or is that why everyone is fascinated with Charlie Sheen, too?

Note that Merritt NEVER answered the question about whether she was going to pay the old judgments against her. Incredibly, the judgments are against HER personally and not just SPCT (her business). Why would she EVER let her Texas corporate charter lapse and why would she EVER allow a default judgment against herself personally? Finally and most importantly, how could she betray the confidence (of course, remember she may still be charged with a crime) of innocent egg donors and people trying to have a child? THIS is the person who the Park Cities People has chosen to write about our community.... My subscription will be cancelled.
