Today, while picking up a few things at the Tom Thumb in Snider Plaza, I learned that Norman Evans' wife passed away. Those of us who shop at Tom Thumb are always greeted with Norman's big smile and geniune kindness.

The employees are working together to help Norman and mentioned that Peggy Sutcliffe, Park Cities resident and founder of Park Cities Online Yard Sale, has been kind enough to create a GoFundMe account.

They are asking that those wishing to help Norman do so at http://www.gofundme.com/HelpNorman.

Norman is an amazing man who has spent the last six months, devoted to the care of his wife, only 53 years old, who has been suffering with advanced lung cancer since the summer. Norman would drive to Duncanville during his lunch break to pick up his daughter so that she could spend time in the hospital with her mother. He would then drive back to work, complete his shift and return to the hospital to stay the night with his wife.

Sadly, she passed away Tuesday evening, leaving Norman and their 15-year-old daughter.

For those wishing to help Norman, thank you in advance for your generosity.
