Summer reading participants gathered on Friday July 29 for the final celebration party of Highland Park Library’s annual summer reading program.  Dog-related games, activities and snacks reflected this year’s theme, “Dig Up a Good Book.”  Children were delighted to meet the day’s special visitors, adoptable dogs from Dallas County Humane Society’s Dog and Kitty City, whose representatives were on hand to retrieve items donated to the Library’s summer canned dog food drive for the shelter.  Completed reading logs may be turned in at the Library through August 31.
