Hip Chixs, created by Dallas residents Megan Carreker and Aimee Miller, will launch today in Snider Plaza.
Starting at 6:30 p.m., Carreker and Miller will be in the Blues Jean Bar, where Hip Chixs is sold exclusively. The designers will also hold a trunk show in the store all day Saturday, Aug. 6.
Hip Chixs denim features two styles of jeans, the “Straight and Narrow,” a skinny jean, and the “Skinny Booty,” the boot-cut style. The jeans, which cost $181, come with the option of a light or dark wash and feature a comfortable material that is perfect for the Texas heat.
Miller developed an idea for the denim line while she was a student at Baylor University. Three and a half years ago, she teamed up with her former Baylor classmate and sorority sister Carreker, a fashion stylist. The duo took a few chances and made it to Los Angeles, where they worked their way into the fashion manufacturing business.
Head to the Blues Jean Bar tonight at 6:30, or from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday to meet with Megan and Aimee and pick up a pair of Hip Chixs jeans.
