UP Police Blotter: $35,000 Place Setting Stolen While House Was Remodeled

University Park, Texas (June 13-17)

JUNE 13

Theft
A 41-year-old resident reported that an unknown person stole his $800 Fila bicycle between 10 p.m. on June 12 and 8 a.m. on June 13 in the 7000 block of Airline Road.

Home Burglary
A 72-year-old resident reported that an unknown person entered his home and stole a $1,000 Nikon camera and $600 in miscellaneous property between 10:10 a.m. and 1:40 p.m. in the 2900 block of Westminster Avenue.

JUNE 15

Vehicle Burglary
A 24-year-old resident reported that someone entered his unlocked 2005 Kia vehicle and stole an $800 HP laptop computer, $475 Citizen watch and $135 in other property between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on June 14 in the 3400 block of McFarlin Boulevard.

JUNE 17

Theft
A 54-year-old resident reported that her "12 piece place setting of Stieff Co. sterling silver with rose pattern handles," which is valued at $35,000, was stolen from her residence while it was getting remodeled between May 10 and June 17 in the 3600 block of McFarlin Boulevard.

Theft
A 34-year-old resident reported that someone entered her home and stole a $1,200 Sony television, a $200 satellite receiver and a $200 Motorola modem between June 12 and June 13 in the 4400 block of Emerson Avenue.

Home Burglary
A 47-year-old resident reported that unknown person entered her home and stole $1,500 worth of clothes and shoes between 1 p.m. on June 15 and 6 p.m. on June 17 in the 3400 block of Granada Avenue.
