The festivities begin at 7:30 a.m. with registration, breakfast and vendors to visit and activities for everyone. The timed 5K will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the 3K walk/fun run will begin at 9:30 a.m.

The SPCA of Texas' Strut Your Mutt race is focused on the Race to End Animal Cruelty. Animal cruelty is an enormously important problem in North Texas, and one that the SPCA of Texas can positively impact with the support of the community. The SPCA of Texas' Animal Cruelty Investigations Unit at the SPCA of Texas has full-time professional humane investigators, educators, a supervisor and a case manager. The Animal Cruelty Investigations Unit receives an average of 3,000 calls for help and investigates more than 2,500 animal cruelty cases each year, many resulting in criminal convictions. As a result of these cases, the SPCA of Texas is successful in rescuing over 2,000 animals out of harm's way every year in multiple Texas counties.

In addition to the walk, strutters will enjoy mimosas and refreshments, as well as free hot dogs and hamburgers provided by Fuddrucker's. We will also have plenty of family-fun events for you to enjoy in our Bow-Wow-Bazaar, which will include vendor booths, activities for pets and kids, demonstrations and more!

Everyone who registers can also help the SPCA of Texas raise funds by collecting pledges for cool prizes and participating in the individual and corporate fundraising challenges. Online registration will be available until May 12. Top Fundraising Challenge prizes will be awarded to participants who collect the most pledges. Donations may be made for Strut Your Mutt through May 31.

Take the next step and form a team at strutyourmutt.info and fundraise to help the SPCA of Texas. Once you register your team and give it a memorable name, you can set up your fundraising goal, recruit team members and build team spirit through your team page.
