DECEMBER 27

Home Burglary
An 84-year-old resident reported that two rings were stolen from a cabinet in her master bedroom sometime between June and November in the 3500 block of Lindenwood Avenue.

DECEMBER 28

Damage to Town Property
A 57-year-old resident reported that a "large semi rig" dragged its wheels across the curb and onto the parkway while making a turn at 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of S. Versailles and Roland Avenue, which allegedly damaged the grass on the corner of the parkway.

Car Accident
A 65-year-old male reported that an unknown vehicle hit his rental car and drove off without leaving information at 3:02 p.m. in the 4100 block of Mockingbird Lane.

DECEMBER 29

Fraud
A 41-year-old resident, who lives in the 4500 block of Fairfax Avenue, reported that someone forged five checks totalling $1,190.56 using her account information between Dec. 22 and Dec. 27.

Telephone Harassment
An employee at William Noble Rare Jewels in Highland Park Village reported that the store received more than a dozen phone calls from a New Jersey area code of a recorded voice that sounded like Dr. Phil asking various questions despite the employee's repeated requests for the phone number to stop calling.

Theft
A 14-year-old female left her purse in the Highland Park Village Theatre after watching a movie, and $400 was missing after she went back and got it.

DECEMBER 30

Criminal Trespassing
A 48-year-old resident reported that an unknown person entered their backyard through a gate that was pushed open between 11 p.m. Dec. 29 and 8 a.m. Dec. 30 in the 4600 block of Fairfax Avenue, but the resident was unaware of any property had been tampered with.

DECEMBER 31

Criminal Mischief
A 63-year-old resident reported that someone damaged a window screen on the back of his house, which had pry marks on both sides, between 8 a.m. Dec. 28 and 4:55 p.m. Dec. 31 in the 4500 block of Fairway Avenue.

JANUARY 2

Criminal Mischief
A 23-year-old resident of Dallas reported that a 16-inch scratch was found on the rear passenger side door of his Mercedes, which appears to have been deliberately done, and he believes the incident occurred while his car was parked in Highland Park Shopping Village.
