The Pittie Party adoption special will be offered at the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in West Dallas and the Russell H. Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney.

Regular adoption fees are $250 for puppies, $125 for adult dogs 6 months and older and kittens 0-6 months, $75 for adult cats 6 months and older, $50 for senior dogs and cats 7 years or older and VIP dogs and cats (available for adoption for 30 days or more.) Keep the party going by adopting a new four-legged family member. When you adopt a shelter pet, you’ll save a life by giving your new pet a home plus open up space for another pet at the SPCA of Texas. You'll gain a forever loving family member, and your new pet will have a home to call their own. Another pet will be able to take their place, saving even more lives! Adoption hours at the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas and the Russell H. Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney are noon to 6 p.m on Sundays through Wednesday and noon to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

WHEN: Tuesday, May 16th, through Wednesday, May 17th, from Noon to 6 p.m.

WHERE:

     * Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center
        2400 Lone Star Drive
        Dallas, TX 75212

    * Russell H. Perry Animal Care Center
       8411 Stacy Road
       McKinney, TX 75070

WHY: Pit Bull-type dogs are often not adopted due to strict breed or weight restrictions at many residential properties, never giving them the chance to show their loving, wonderful personalities to potential families. Pit Bulls are also overlooked in shelters due to unfortunate and inaccurate breed stereotyping.
