New York Times best-selling author Steve Berry, who writes historical thrillers, will be speaking as a part of the Authors LIVE! series at Highland Park United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. on May 22 in Wesley Hall.
His newest book, which is titled The Columbus Affair, came out on May 15 and challenges what we know about how America was discovered.
"From Florida to Vienna and Prague, to the mountains of Jamaica investigative journalist Tom Sagan seeks to discover the greatest secret of all about the man we know as Christopher Columbus," describes the novel, according to HPUMC's website.
Other novels that Berry has authored include The Emperor's Tomb, The Jefferson Key and The Paris Vendetta.
Tonight's event is free to attend, reservations are not necessary and Berry will be signing autographs after his presentation.
The Authors LIVE! series, which is a partnership between HPUMC and the Friends of the Highland Park Library, gives the local community an opportunity to listen to accomplished authors present their newly publish works.
