About HAPPY HOUR, THE CONTEMPORARY CHRISTIAN BAND
HAPPY HOUR started on January 12, 2003 to provide music for the new Sunday Five (p.m.) liturgy at Holy Trinity Catholic Community and is made up of volunteer members from the parish with the exception of the director and musical accompanist. The band has expanded to share its ministry with other area churches, The Catholic Dioceses of Fort Worth and Dallas and works to promote the rich heritage of post-Vatican II and other positive-inspired literature in song. Among the composers in the band’s repertoire are Chris Tomlin, Matt Maher, David Kauffman, Bob Hurd, Marty Haugen, Dan Schutte and David Haas. Additionally, the band enjoys sharing secular songs that have positive messages such as those written or performed by Steven Schwartz, Mandy Moore, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Tim Rice, Dixie Chicks and Simon and Garfunkel to name a few.
