The Highland Park Department of Public Safety and the University Park Police and Fire Departments will go head-to-head in the “Battle of the Badges” blood drive on Friday, March 26, 2010 from 8:00 to 4:00 held at Highland Park DPS. In an effort to see who can get the most blood donations in their honor, everyone is encouraged and invited to participate in this life saving event put on by the Park Cities Rotary Club and Carter BloodCare.
The Department that collects the most blood wins and will receive the coveted “Battle of the Badges” trophy to display at their headquarters for the entire year. Lunch is on us! As part of the Battle of the Badges blood drive, the Town of Highland Park will be serving up a BBQ lunch from 11:30 to 1:00 in appreciation for those who participate in supporting a good cause in honor of the men and women of Highland Park DPS. We will also have staff available to give tours and provide information about town services.
