Series 3. Debating Immigration Issues
Caroline Brettell is University Distinguished Professor of Anthropology at SMU
Immigration continues to be an important social and policy issue that commands our attention. In this two lecture series, Professor Brettell will address two critical dimensions of immigration—immigration reform in the United States and the feminization of migration. In each lecture she will set local and/or national considerations into a global context, outlining both trends and challenging problems. Both lectures will draw on ongoing research in the DFW area to illustrate the local/national/global nexus.
